The Emptiness Story – Zen and the Art of Reality

As part of this “and the art of” series, things are going to be more focused on what is meant when people or other “divine” sages refer to as emptiness or void. The emptiness story is created out of great hope that an individual will see what is always constantly there. Luckily, even the hope comes from this same source, no matter how meaningful or meaningless this illusion of hope is. Once seen, it cannot be unseen, because of how plain, simple, and obvious it is.  A lot of Zen outlooks are derived from this, as most of them seem to not make sense but that’s the point of them, nothing makes sense, there are only appearance of sense being made made by the brain, in which its job is to make some kind of sense out of a conglomerate of ideas of concepts.

In reality, there is only the appearance of sense however its like-ness is like a pencil sketch or a painting as StepVhens – Burning the map: ripples on the void shows that although its very real that the painting is there, what is painted is no more real than anything else. It cannot be mistake for the real thing. For instance, a drawn car cannot be mistaken for an actual car. Another thing to see is that no matter what the appearance is, it is not as it seems, and is always always always in a state of constant change; from the construction through various things to the completion, to its downfall or destruction.

The Void – Eternal Silence

This seems to be the theme that is most evident right now and although its been talked about a great deal, I’m going to try and encapsulate from this perspective as best as possible. This is the driving force in which everything is manifested, in fact the only thing that stands true, and it is Reality. Everything else resides in this and is created from this source. It is eternal silence, however the concept of silence that is well known is associated with shallow surface level, however this silence has depth, a shitload of depth. Eternally deep do these waters run as they are the all, and intertwine everything that manifests through appearances, whether it be a collection of thought, or emotion, or physical objects. This is something that always has been, in the bible it is stated as the Alpha and the Omega, but if I had to decide what exactly the alpha and omega were, these two things would be inside of this void. It truly how no beginning and no end, these two terms don’t even restrict it, cannot restrict it, because those two words have just as much weight of it as a fraction has over a whole.

The Emptiness

This brings me to this, because these two words are interchangeable and only scratch at what is actually at play here. Again the fraction to the whole concept being played here. The void is the story of this empty space, however the space is not empty in respect to there nothing being there, there are a lot of things there, and they are very real, but no one thing serves any more meaning then the next rather provide for the working of this constant flux of eternal movement of this ten-thousand things.  The reason why its even pointed at being “empty” is because it is the sole thing that generates everything and the only thing that allows for anything to be possible.

Searching for Peace Through the Void

Forget it, you’ve come to the wrong place. Because even the discomfort resides in this, and just because you’ve seen it won’t exempt some “identity” from going through some hardship. You can’t get to the castle without swimming the mote as in: you won’t find Reality without seeing the false of you.
