Leaving the Witness Stand

The journey often time although there is no real path in which liberation takes. There are some key factors that often show up in this “spiritual journey.” Firstly, one comes to know that there is a bigger picture but doesn’t quite connect the dots. This can be related to the Platos Allegory of the Cave, which depicts Socrates telling the story of humanity in which they are grown to believe of one reality, not that it is actually is what it is, but something we chosen to be a part of out of an error of errors.

Supposing one gets the gumption to stand up and see that there is more to the human existence and begin to look around to find out what the hell is going on. Upon this first realization, one will place and label it again as being “witness” something that goes beyond someone living a life, but now there seems to be space between the one living and the one observing. This miracle seems to create enough distance to see that the body is not who the manifestation is in a very abstract degree because all of this can be observed, but rather something more; something completely detached from the “one who is involved.” At this point I would relate this in Plato’s Allegory is the one who frees himself from the shackles to find out that the shadow play on the wall was not the correct reality but only one version of reality within the bigger picture of existence.

However, this isn’t the end of the path, but many will get caught in this and roam the auditorium will millions and billions of others are self-shackled just like the same as the partially freed, which then has been left to the poets, mystics, shamans, and there is nothing wrong in these positions as there is an abundance of good that these manifestations of reality serve. However, this creates a feeling of separate from the herd, and illusion is fine with making itself think it is separate from something. Again though, just a different point in the same undercurrent of the eternal story.

Here comes the kicker, the final stroke in which exists is that not only is the idea of a witness only just an idea, but that the whole you that resided there is just as much an idea as the one who observes. What is being said is that all of this is still just within the cave and even what is outside of the cave is within a part of what actually is reality. This is Existence or Reality. There is only the idea of you or witness but there is no such real physical object that correlates to a physical being or entity. Isn’t it weird how this is, that when you try and pin point this YOU that you come up empty handed? There is a reason for this… and that is because there is no YOU to find, but that Existence is everything that is manifested or created. That is the only thing that there is.

Finally for those of you who don’t have the Allegory on lock, here is a link to it for you to enjoy!

    Hey Doug!

Haven’t seen you in awhile, it seems that it was inevitable to happen, it just had to be the perfect moment in which for truth to cast its ever gazing shadow and to wipe the slate clean so to speak.

How’s everything going back on the home front? =]
