Where mistaken identity comes from, although may seem like a very complex question to tackle, is not actually as deep as it seems. It is only deep when one trys to see it with the intellectual mind where a whole falsified world is created. An intellectual is foolish into having thought override the best thing that is around which is sight. Not physical sight but that sight that all things become the center of observation.
This is where things become controversial, where people try and attack most advatic (that everything is one, there is no good and evil etc.) viewpoints because those viewpoints really have no reassuring answers for why “bad things” happen. If the person making the statement would stop arguing and just look, would they see that these questions are meaningless/distraction. If they would just look and see that the only reason this kind of stuff happens is because of mistaken identity. The fact that there is a false assumption that there is some entity suffering or has suffered and is owed something. You have to really put yourself inside the others head who, in your ideals is committing great evil, for instance someone killing another..say a boyfriend killing his past love because she chose another man over him and dumped him.
Here are a few things to look at, on the interworkings of whats going on:
- Neither one of the couples ideals of each other are working out, which causes gap in relationship.
- The emotionality of this “lapse” in judgement overwhelms the mind.
- Because the mind is overwhelmed by this, the body reacts negatively.
- This “suffering” of circumstances causes the body to be possessed by the fairy tale or emotions going on.
Because of this scenario of there being a possession of thought of “I am going through this.” There is something that has been lost, and depending on the circumstances in which the mind had been conditioned, could cause the body to act in a malicious way. Notice how all of it revolves around conditioning, which is in essence thoughts, beliefs, and concepts swirling around, but never once does it ever point to an actual entity going through something. This is utterly false that there is “someone” going through it. This kind of evil doing is done through a great control possession (the thought of control and ownership takes over the body.) Hence why people name these possessions, mental illness, or insanity.
Insanity however, what I see is that when reality is not seen in the foreground, and thus filtered fiction is taken to be the “king of the castle.” This is easy to avoid, however, this doesn’t mean that at all times does the fairy tail not affect the body. Seeing truth means, seeing through the fantasy and being able to go within and without depending on circumstances. To be free to move wherever necessary, so in turn these emotions, body afflictions, etc. do not affect you because they are seen. They absolutely may still continue to affect the body and work the way they work, as they are acting perfectly the way they should. They are part of reality and they are very real, it is the fiction of an “experiencer” which brings about seperation and suffering. Because this “I” exists, is the whole reason why any kind of violence and killing even exists (at least between conscious effort of humanity).
This is the root of mistaken identity, not the weed, but the root of it. To truly see there has never been an experiencer that is “going through this.” This thought of I is the mistake. Try and see for just one moment where this “I exist” comes from, and where all the other thoughts that pair up with that thought originate. If one becomes receptive for just the moment at which the re-discovery takes place then ones whole orchestration changes.
What happens when this is seen is that this feeling of becoming this or that starts to fall away, but mainly the feeling of becoming this thing that was assumed to exist in reality for so long. Instead one is what they are and what they have always been. It is not what was previously thought. Ultimately it is nothing in particular, however everything, and if you want to call this thing Reality, as it is the only thing that is and ever will be eternally. Everything else is within it, including the thought of “I”.
