The Human Being vs. True Being

This will be short.

I felt as if I should post something though to clear what Davidya and others have called the “monkey-mind” for myself and maybe for others involved in this blog that are unknown to myself.

The Monkey Mind:
This is derived from the personality, or the “me” that each human beings seems to have. Largely influenced by the intellect, it makes logical and “rational” decision throughout the day, but there is something that it has forgotten. It forgets that it is only a slave to True Being and takes itself to be the Master. It is part of the Master but it is not the Master itself, You are the Master to put it simply. The monkey-mind is a fraction of what actually is, but nonetheless it only can go as far as attempt to explain things in which it cannot fully understand, from whatever it takes in from the outside world for the most part. Things it cannot understand it can feels but it well… cannot understand them. (hehe)

Let me give you an example:

You are traveling a long distance to a remote location and you are backpacking up a hill, not knowing what lies on the other side you come across a vastly beautiful canyon. The mind was not expecting something of this magnitude and then something happens. You have this moment of awe deep within you, the mind registers that there is a movement but it does not know where the movement came from or where it originated.

These are what are referred to as glimpses into your Being, your True Nature. It sort of feels to the mind like Love resonating and it has many names, but you can also get the sense of being centered or at home. However none of those words quite ever will be able to explain it fully because they only reflect a fraction of the whole.

So this mind (personal) will go on thinking that it is the mind until it can no longer fool itself that it is the mind. When this happens True Being or Awareness takes place.

Reality grounds itself in Awareness, however these are not rational or logical concepts persay.. they do not follow a logical linear order, it just happens.

Let me clarify, it just happens not because its an actually event in time, as Awaking to your True Being is not bound by time. In fact you’ve been what you have always been this whole time, there was never any journey to be had, the journey itself is the Master, there is nothing wrong in the journey in fact for many it is essential for the human beings growth to flower. Some flowers will bloom rather quickly and some will take longer. It is not to say that one is quicker to the other, you have been on this journey longer than you’ll of been in that body. You have been eternal and you will stay eternal, you just have to give up the thought that you are the body, are the mind, are the thoughts, are any identity that anything or anyone has ever given to you. You are not these things, you go beyond these things.

Davidya recently allowed me to re-discover this lesson that we are not what we perceive ourselves to be, to drop all of our “logical” conclusions we thought we knew about each other. Davidya also allowed me to re-discover a very good example of this happening, in deep sleep. The moment just before deep sleep occurs or the few moments right before the body wakes up, there is a feeling of not knowing, a state in which you are closest to your center. It has not put on its identity for the day and merely is. If you can pay attention to this feeling Awareness will become more apparent.

Follow that feeling.. (huh… guess it wasn’t that short… :P)
