What does this mean when we hear this so much around spiritual talk? Does it refer to the actual whole world or what?! The seeing part is often the hardest thing to establish, but once beyond the gate it seems clear that what is referred to as the world is not the actual world that surrounds us but the story that is told about us from the “narrators” perspective. All of it’s likes, dislikes, shoulds, should nots, evils, goods, etc. These things are part of a story that turn a personality into its own work of art beautifully portrayed as one unique human being.
However whats important to truly look at the fact that these stories are not real, in fact completely fabricated by mind. These stories have no physical basis in reality and because they don’t should not be taken seriously. They are however, and not only that, they create great obstacles for us as human beings. They cause us suffering and sorrow that we don’t have to feel for taking our world so personally. You are not those thoughts, not even the thought of there being a you (because there isn’t one.)
